Let’s Go Fishing (LGF) was established in 2002 in Willmar, Minnesota, driven by the heartfelt vision of its founder, who, alongside his wife, aimed to enrich the lives of senior citizens through the joys of fishing and boating. With cherished memories of fishing during his youth and a profound commitment to serving seniors, he founded an organization that not only reflects his passion for the water but also fosters community connections. The first chapter was initiated with the support of like-minded friends who shared a dedication to helping others.

Today, thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and the collaborative efforts of the States of Minnesota and Wisconsin, LGF has significantly expanded its reach, positively impacting thousands of individuals annually. Our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility is exemplified by the introduction of new programs that cater to diverse groups, including Hospice patients, youth, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Since our inception, we are proud to have served over 250,000 individuals, and we remain steadfast in our mission to enhance the quality of life for all participants.
