Craig Norenberg
Craig has been an active advisor with Let‘s Go Fishing since 2008. He felt the need to take this experience to a higher level where he saw a growing need at all levels of services across the board. Working with Let’s Go Fishing provided motivation to improve the housing and care for seniors. Avant Private Communities became the answer to the delivery of a high degree of services and care to the seniors, not only to the physical needs of the residents, but most importantly to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
Craig was Controller of U.S. sales organization for Medtronic, Inc. during a period of rapid growth in the 1990’s under Bill George’s leadership. Prior to joining Medtronic, he had a 10-year professional career with Control Data Corporation where he was a division controller for multiple different divisions, tax consultant for R&D where he was responsible for winning a complex IRS claim for a $30 million R&D tax credit. Following that achievement, Craig was assigned Controller of Asia where he organized legal entities throughout Asia in preparation for an IPO of the disk drive business.
Craig is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in accounting. He and his wife Eileen of 45 years reside in the greater Minneapolis area. They have 2 grown daughters and 5 grandchildren who also live in the greater Minneapolis area
