In 2002 Let’s Go Fishing became a reality for a man who had fond memories of growing up with a fishing pole in his hand and of his Grandfather Art teaching him how to fish. He attended Moorhead State & St. Cloud College and graduated with a management degree in 1982. Soon after marrying his high school sweet heart Carolyn, he pursued a career in the Insurance industry where he would stay for the next 20 years. He was very successful in the industry even taking on speaking at National Conventions but his heart told him there was something more.
He has always had a heart for seniors and youth and an undying passion for the water. With these in mind, he, his wife Carolyn and a handful of volunteers started the formation of Let’s Go Fishing. His desire was and is to see people reached and lives touched through the Let’s Go Fishing Organization. To date over 150,000 lives have been touched by 25 chapters in Minnesota and Wisconsin and over 2,000 volunteers. He has been married for over 35 years, with 3 children, 7 grandchildren and a vision to take Let’s Go Fishing to communities across the nation impacting hundreds of thousands more.
